Testing - Fire Doors
Testing - Fire Doors
Having your fire doors tested is crucial to ensuring that in the event of a fire they are capable of preventing the spread of smoke and fire within your premises. Fire doors should always remain clear of obstructions and in the case of sliding fire doors, should have the tracks kept dust free and obstacle free.
AS1851:2005 section 17 requires all fire door systems to be tested on a 3 monthly basis. You will find that frequent testing is usually a requirement specified by your insurance company. They will also require the completion of a log book of all testing performed on the fire doors. If you do not have a Log book, they are available from our technicians or from our website here. If you already have a fire door log book we will be more than happy to continue using this.
Our fire door testing is carried out in accordance with AS1851:2005 section 17 and is scheduled on a 3 monthly basis. The fire door tests consist of, but are not limited to, the following:-
